“As your Township Supervisor, over the past four years, I have led Pittsfield Township through the ‘great recession’ by not just preserving but also building upon – by nearly $1 million – our general fund balance while making zero cuts to services.
Under my leadership, Pittsfield Township has brought in an unprecedented $5 million in grant funding, nurtured the only revenue-generating building department in Washtenaw County, fostered a Department of Public Safety that has one of the quickest response rates in the entire county, and developed a commercial/business sector that has added hundreds of jobs to our community each year. I have worked to dramatically enhance the recreational options for all residents by developing and adding (via land donations) new park space while also adding many miles of greenways, sidewalks, trails and bike paths along previously under-served areas of our community. These have connected thousands of Pittsfield residents to our park and open spaces. For the next four years, I will work even harder to improve the quality of life for all our residents by being an ambassador for Pittsfield Township and its ability to be an economic, cultural, and fiscal driver for our region.” Mandy Grewal |
“Serving as your Clerk has allowed me to continue my life-long commitment to public service. After taking office, our focus was to evaluate and assess how services were delivered by the Clerk’s office to our residents. Based on our findings, we implemented changes that focused on respect, customer service, record and information accessibility, and open communications. Integrity is the cornerstone of public service and is an integral element of the conduct of the Clerk’s office, not only for me, but for our staff. A strong viable business base in Pittsfield Township is critical to the quality of life for our residents and community. The Clerk’s office works diligently with our corporate and business partners to sustain and grow jobs.” Alan Israel |
“Serving as Treasurer of Pittsfield Charter Township is an extension of my long-standing commitment to the community. With a focus on customer service, respectful conduct, fiscal stewardship and professionalism I will continue to work hard every day to earn the trust and confidence of all who live here and do business with the Township. The integrity of the Treasurer’s Office is essential to the growth and economic vitality of our community. With diligence and the highest standards of accountability, I will be a full partner in protecting the township’s hard earned AA bond rating and promoting the benefits of living and working in Pittsfield.” Patricia Tupacz Scribner |
